The Company was founded in 1997. It began its operation as a small firm and now it developed into one of the leading Russian developers and producers of medical X-ray equipment.

Medical Technologies Ltd. is one of the leading company in Russia in the field of development and production of wide range of mammography equipment, with installed base of over 50% of the current mammography market share in the country.. The Company supplied more than 150 mammography units, including over 30 with attachments for stereotactic biopsy and 3 digital mammography units. In 2006, Medical Technologies will become the first company in Russia to introduce and begin production of its own automated Computer Aided Diagnostic (CAD) system designed to assist mammography specialists to increase accuracy of diagnoses. According to western experts, the use of CAD system does increase the accuracy of diagnoses by 15-20%.

In 2005, the Company began assembling Villa Sistemi Medicali Spa equipment in Russia under Villa’s brand name using the same technology as the Italian Company.

At this time Medical Technologies Ltd considers its high priority to continue development and production of medical X-ray equipment with digital data processing and information technologies.
Our company was the first company in Russia to develop and produce digital mammography unit, a system of digital computer radiography (ViziR-MT), and automated workstations for radiologists. The development and availability of digital systems solutions provides an opportunity to upgrade existing analog X-ray systems into digital systems without replacing the equipment itself.
In 2006, the Company will begin production of its new Information Technology (IT) systems for health care institutions.
